Terms of Service

This is placeholder legal language prepared for launch and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be replaced with reviewed terms before this matters for a real dispute.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using DocuAgree (the "Service"), operated by DocuAgree, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Description of the service

DocuAgree lets you build documents, collect electronic signatures, and track the signing process. The Service is provided on a month-to-month subscription basis, as described below.

3. Subscription & billing

The Service is billed at $9.00 per month, per account, charged monthly in advance once your trial ends. New accounts get a trial period ending at whichever comes first: 3 documents sent, or 14 days from when a payment card is added. You may pause your subscription at any time, which stops billing without deleting your data. You may cancel at any time; your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing period, after which your account becomes read-only. We do not offer refunds. There is no annual billing option and no long-term contract — every plan is month-to-month.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to send documents that are fraudulent, deceptive, or that you don't have the right to send; to impersonate another person or forge a signature; to violate any law; or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

5. Your content and documents

You retain all ownership rights to the documents, templates, and content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service (for example, generating PDFs, sending signing links, and storing the completed record). We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train any model or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Templates are not legal advice

The starter templates included in the Service are general starting points only. They are not legal advice, are not customized for your jurisdiction or situation, and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on them. DocuAgree is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocuAgree will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any amount exceeding the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use section above. Upon termination, your account becomes read-only; we retain your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
