Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?
Not a time-limited one. Your first 3 documents are free, with every feature and no card required, whether you send them this week or over three months. You're only asked for a card before your 4th document.
What does "unlimited" actually mean?
There's no cap on how many documents you send or how many people sign them, per month or per year, and no overage fee. The only limits are anti-abuse ones on specific actions, such as importing at most 8 Word files an hour, which don't limit how much you send.
How do I pause or cancel?
Both are one click in Settings. Pausing stops all future charges until you resume; you can't send new documents while paused, but every document stays in your account to open and download, and you can resume any time. Cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the period you've paid for; after that the account is read-only, so you can still retrieve past documents.
Do you offer refunds?
No. Billing is month to month with no long-term commitment, and you can pause or cancel before your next billing date at any time. See the Terms of Service for the full billing terms.
Can more than one person use one account?
No. Each account is a single sender; there's no team plan or shared login. Signers and viewers never need an account and are always free.
Are documents signed with DocuAgree legally binding?
Yes. Signing follows the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA: every signer agrees to sign electronically, their identity details (email, IP address, device, and time) are recorded, the finished document is sealed with a SHA-256 hash, and a certificate of completion is attached. How is my data secured?
All traffic is HTTPS-only, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, each signing link is random and specific to one signer and one document, and a document can't be changed once someone could have signed it. DocuAgree doesn't hold SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA certification. The security page covers what is and isn't in place.
How do I pay?
By card, processed by Stripe. DocuAgree never sees or stores your full card number.
